I have had an awesome day. People are just always extraordinarily friendly - always up for a chat or offering help when I am once again standing there with my map, disoriented as always. So I have been shopping, wondering around, supplying myself with maps, tourist-information and the agenda for the Melbourne Arts Center, taking pictures at the river and also had a nip into the Immigration museum.

Did you know, that in 2001 the state of Victoria counted roughly 30,000 German-born inhabitants - as opposed to significantly less than 5,000 Japanese-born? So I am wondering: why are there so few Schnitzel places -- and so amazingly many Sushi places? Well, I just decided not to keep wondering, but to simply enjoy the fact. Coz the vast choice of very very fresh and at the same time very very affordable Sushi which you get all over the place is one of the many things I love about Australia!
